Description
Jedes Frühjahr bis in den Herbst begrüßen wir unsere Gäste in unserer Straußwirtschaft zu wechselnden Gerichten unserer typischen Weinguts-Küche. Bei gutem Wetter im malerischen Innenhof, bei nicht so gutem Wetter in der gemütlichen Scheune. "Unser kleines Weingut liegt inmitten der sanft geschwungenen Hügel der Südpfalz. Von hier aus reicht der Blick von den Hängen des Pfälzer Walds bis hinaus in die Rheinebene und hinüber ins Elsass. Unser wunderschöner Gutshof, der bereits 1782 entstand ist für uns und unsere Weine Heimat und bezaubernde Kulisse zugleich. Auf den Ausläufern des Haardtgebirges und rund um das beschauliche Kapellen-Drusweiler wachsen unsere Reben. Unsere Weinberge werden seit 2016 ohne chemisch-synthetische Pflanzenschutzmittel bearbeitet. Im Keller legen wir Wert auf schonenden Ausbau und eine späte Abfüllung der Weine. Alles für unbeschwerten Genuss und Trinkfreude. Wir sind Mitglied bei Slow-Food und EcoVin.

The food was very, very tasty and the price-performance ratio was right. The service was friendly and the ambience is great too. Unfortunately, we didn't feel comfortable with the implementation of the hygiene concept for the hospitality industry in relation to Covid-19, so unfortunately only 3 stars. All tables were occupied by groups of guests. Sometimes the required minimum distance between the tables was not observed. In addition, a few new guests have entered the restaurant without wearing mouth and nose protection. They were not approached by the staff in this regard. The air in the restaurant wasn't the best. We could not find any windows and one did not have the feeling that a ventilation system exists or works. When live music was supposed to start with vocals, we left. That was all too tricky for us. Overall, a shame, because the restaurant definitely has potential and would normally invite you to linger longer and devote yourself to the appealing wine list.

The best venison sausages with a perfect potato salad. Excellent wines. Nice boss with friendly wait staff.

Unfortunately not to be recommended, service overwhelmed. Empty glasses were no reason for the waitress to ask for more drinks. Since the ordered food was still not there after an hour, we were given the answer on request that it had been forgotten. There was no recognizable effort to change something here. Sorry, goodwill for drinks. This is how you drive away guests.

Really great. Very nice ambience under the chestnut tree in the courtyard. Nice little menu, delicious home cooked dishes and very friendly, attentive service. We are looking forward to the Advent market. See you soon.

A dreamlike property whose courtyard invites you to linger! Sina and Frank create a family atmosphere and you feel at home immediately. The wines are very exciting and offer a lot to discover. Definitely try: Auxerrois!
